See how it's like to be a low-poly psychopath
First off, the downloadable demo is a very early build of the game and it's meant to showcase some of the core mechanics and some of the styling. The developer behind this soon to be gem has done a lot of work since the demo and you can get an updated look on how things are now by visiting the Garbage Day Greenlight page. Be sure to do so because it looks great.
Basically, the game lets you experience what it's like to do whatever you want without enduring any consequences. You can roam around the streets minding your own business until you get to where you want to go or you can make it a day by shooting everyone in the legs or, tip over all the garbage cans. The only thing is, that when this game is released, you might have a few serious challenges ahead of you, such as finding out how to escape the temporal loophole you're actually stuck in.
A really nice visual style that makes the game totally relaxing
The low-poly design chosen for the game and the smoothness of the animations are just great. For those of us who enjoy minimalistic or low detail design and prefer fluent gameplay, Garbage Day has almost everything figured out.
It's not the first time we get to see something like this but considering the game's inspiration and the unsettling great choice of music, Garbage Day is totally interesting and inviting, it feels fresh.
There's no sure ETA for the finished thing but the wait will certainly be worth it
Garbage Day has a very appealing concept behind it and looking at how things are shaping up, it's surely going to turn out to be something great. The game takes place in a regular suburban town, powered by a nuclear plant, but after an accident in the power plant you get stuck in a temporal loop.
In Command-line Options window I typed:-c configconfig is the folder I ordered to keep my settings in. Dev c%2b%2b gta. (it may give you an error there is no such folder, just create it. This is how I made Dev-Cpp work on my pen drive:1.I installed a normal version of Dev-Cpp on my computer.2.Copied the whole Dev-Cpp folder (by default it was C:Dev-Cpp) to the ProtableApps folder in my flash drive (this doesn't matter, I just keep all my soft there) and deleted Uninstall.exe from pen drive copy (it's not needed, but it's recommended).3.Opened my Codyssey optionsAplicationsAdd Application (I'm using Codyssey, because it's nice and accepts all kinds of files to be launched/installed easily).4.Linked to devcpp.exe (the file that launches Dev-Cpp) in./PortableApps/Dev-Cpp/5. I do not want to use a tool without current development if there are replacements that do have regularly updates.Switching to Code::Blocks should be very easy, it can import dev-c projects.
Your main goal is to find a way to break the time loop by exploring the world and to find out the secret behind all of this. If you die, you just wake up in your bed and the day starts again, so the world is your oyster.
When you wake up you still know the information from the previous day and this influences the dialogue choices. Be a ruthless killer or become the friendliest neighbor to have ever walked the earth. Nothing matters when you're stuck in the same day for eternity… But maybe there's a way out.
